Celebrate the Christmas season in the quietude of the North Georgia Mountains.  Avoid the crowds and spend quality time in the Georgia Mountains.  Pick out your own Christmas tree and take it home.  Visit a Christmas tree maze, a living nativity, your choice of Christmas tree farms and take a ride to the North Pole on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad or the Tennessee Valley Railroad.  Enjoy the Christmas lights at Rock City.  To set the ambiance for the season, you may get lucky and see a snowflake or two.
   
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS - UNDERGROUND WATERFALL - INCLINE RAILROAD!

Nightly at Rock City see the award holiday light display Enchanted Garden of Lights featuring more than 25 holiday scenes that transform the natural beauty into a dazzling light fantasyland!  November 18-December 31

During daylight hours enjoy the natural beauty of Rock City, the Lookout Mountain Incline Railroad and Ruby Falls, a thundering waterfall inside Lookout Mountain, all within a short drive of Ellijay.
   

CHRISTMAS TREES!
During November and December, plan to pick out your Christmas tree at one of the various tree farms in the Georgia Mountains.  Not only will you take home your fresh mountain tree, but you also take with you the memories of your trip and your mountain experience choosing your tree in the North Georgia Mountains. We highly recommend Southern Tree Plantation in Blairsville for trees and a lot of fun.  
   

 
TRAINS TO THE NORTH POLE!
Ride the Christmas Express to the North Pole on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway for a fun-filled holiday treat complete with a visit from Santa.

Celebrate the Christmas holidays with The Christmas Express -- twenty festive, fun-filled train rides. Passengers will be treated to holiday refreshments at the depot before boarding. On board, they will hear Christmas stories, sing Christmas carols with elves, and visit with Santa Cluas at the North Pole.

Take a ride to Chattanooga to ride the Christmas train on the Tennessee Valley Railraod, the Chattanooga Choo Choo.

Since 1999, the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum has been carrying all the good boys and girls of Chattanooga and surrounding areas to the North Pole for a visit with Santa Claus. This year, TVRM is proud to announce that Jolly Old St. Nicholas has once again asked that we extend our services and take everybody back to the North Pole again!
Santa’s elves have been busy preparing the tracks and we hear that they’ll be routed through locations such as Santa’s Workshop! Storytellers are buying fresh copies of The Polar Express to read to everybody and Yoo-hoo is busy filling up bottles so that all the children will have something to drink on the trip!
Santa has even arranged for our station to keep everyone warm and dry while waiting for the North Pole Limited to arrive, complete with a dining area for those with an appetite.

Live Nativity Scene is wonderful, with all the little animals and 'Away in a Manger' playing in the background. You'll enjoy the true spirit of Christmas with this very special addition during the holiday season at the farm. Last tour for the Christmas Maze and Live Nativity is 8:30 p.m.
Christmas tree corn maze is an over 300 foot tree with 3800 feet of garland and lights! Find your way through from the tree trunk to the star on top!
