HORSEBACK RIDING
Horseback riding in the North Georgia Mountains is fun for the whole family. Several stables are available nearby in Ellijay, Blue Ridge and Dahlonega. Enjoy guided trail rides through the beautiful North Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains to experience the spectacular views of the Georgia Mountains. No experience is necessary and horses are available for all levels of expertise. All trail rides are accompanied by an experienced guide.

Blanch Manor is located in Copperhill, Tennessee, less than 15 minutes north of Blue Ridge, Georgia and just over one and a half hours north of Atlanta, Georgia. They are only an 1/8 of a mile north of the Georgia border, so don't be deterred by the Tennessee location since they are just around the corner and very easy to find!

Blanch Manor also has 30 minute wagon ride hayrides through a working apple orchard which are followed by a fireside dinner where local musicians entertain with mountain music and story telling to your family. The campfire dinner consists of homemade chili, cornbread, soda, water, and homemade dessert, as well as hot dogs and marshmallows for roasting. After dinner, you can end the evening with a game of horseshoes next to the fire. The evening event usually lasts about 1 1/2 hours and is held an hour before nightfall year round.
This activity is perfect for people who cannot ride horses, or families who just want to enjoy a dinner around a blazing campfire and enjoy authentic Blue Ridge Mountains entertainment. They need a minimum of 8 people for hay rides, but they will try to combine smaller families together to reach the required minimum number. Please be sure to ask for directions to the hay ride when booking, as the hay ride is at Mountain View Apple Orchard, not Blanche Manor.

Adventure Trail Rides offers several levels of riding skills.Level 1 trail offers beautiful scenic horse trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains that are great for adults and children alike and is an all time favorite. Although it is a level 1 trail, it does have a few obstacles that will excite you and challenge you. Level 2 offers a combination of scenic Blue Ridge Mountains views, wildlife and somewhat more advanced terrain. This trail ride will work for an advanced rider but is still safe for the adventurous beginner. Weather permitting, the Level 3 trail ride offers the experienced rider the chance to show their stuff with a little cantering. This trail also features fantastic views from the top of the mountain.

The lower loop ride is approximately two hours and consists mostly of wooded mountain trails.
The overlook ride is approximately 3 hours. It consists mostly of a wooded mountain trail which ends at a high mountain overlook with 30 mile views on a clear day. After a short break they return to the Double D.
The all day ride is approximately six hours. It consists of high mountain trails and some forest service roads with several scenic view points. The trail ride includes lunch, drink and snacks. All you need is your camera and a bottle or canteen of water.
All rides are guided, and in most cases, a group or family is taken alone with no other riders.
