NORTH GEORGIA MOUNTAINS SUMMER
In summer, the North Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains are alive with life and sunshine. Brilliant rainbows follow cooling afternoon showers. Magnificent firefly light shows are displayed as fireflies glow in the evenings.

Drive to the farmstands to select fresh Georgia grown peaches, early Georgia Mountain grown apples, homemade jams and garden-fresh produce. Buy fresh juicy local peaches and watermelons.
Cool off right at the rental cabin in Mountaintown Creek by taking a dip, sitting on a rock with your feet dangling in the water, floating in a tube or just wading in the beautiful water.

Adventure awaits you! Hiking, scenic drives, waterfalls, Blue Ridge Railway train rides, rafting on the Ocoee River, are all just a short drive.
From May 1 through October 1 the Coosawattee River Resort offers tubing rides down the Coosawattee River. You can have a great time on a 2-1/2 hour float down the Coosawattee River, enjoying the beautiful mountains of Ellijay in North Georgia. Visit the Coosawattee River Tubing Co. at the General Store at Eagle Mountains for more information. Upon returning from a fun time on the river, come into the restaurant for a cold drink or a snack and browse all of the merchandise we have available for purchase. We have some amazing arts and crafts and collectibles made by local craftsmen and artists.

Pickin' on The Porch
Pickin' on The Porch at the General Store at Eagle Mountains starts in May every Saturday night. Shows start around 7:00 p.m. The deli will be open serving hotdogs,burgers, BBQ, philly steak and cheese sandwiches and homemade apple dumplings.
Pickin' in the Park
Enjoy a variety of live acoustic music including traditional Appalachian, Bluegrass, Blues and Jazz music every Thursday from 6:00–dusk May through September alongside the Toccoa River at Ron Henry-Horseshoe Bend River Park in McCaysville, Georgia. Pickin' in the Park is a series of weekly jam sessions that nurture local acoustic music. If you wish, bring your instruments and participate in these weekly jam sessions along the river…or come listen, grill-out and dance!
